Rock the Kent!

Elementary kids have something to do on those early release days once a month, and now the older kids do, too.

The Cedar Springs High School Musicians Club will be running concerts on early release Fridays featuring musicians from the high school. The CSHS Musicians Club will kick off its series of concerts at The Kent Theatre in downtown Cedar Springs on Friday, January 22, from 1 to 3 p.m. “The really cool thing is that this is all student-run,” said Len Allington, of the Kent. “It’s great to see them come up with an idea like this and carry it out.”

He also noted that all the money made from the concerts would go to upgrade equipment, such as new lighting, a new soundboard, and a PA system. “It’s all stuff they would use for concerts later on,” he said.

This first show will feature the band “Alchemy Anthem,” and multiple acoustic acts.
Tickets are $3 and can be purchased from Jordan Sagorski, Jesse Franks or Nick Bonarski at the high school. Tickets are also available at the door. The concession stand will also be open.
