The Fall sports season wraps up this Friday and Saturday (Nov. 27-28) at Ford Field with the MHSAA Football Finals. Here’s the schedule:
Friday – November 27
Division 8 – 10 a.m. Beal City (12-1) vs. Crystal Falls Forest Park (11-2)
Division 2 – 1 p.m. Lowell (12-1) vs. Inkster (9-3)
Division 6 – 4:30 p.m. Montague (13-0) vs. Monroe St Mary Catholic Central (12-1)
Division 4 – 7:30 p.m. Three Rivers (13-0) vs. Marshall (12-1)
Saturday – November 28
Division 7 – 10 a.m. Hudson (13-0) vs. Traverse City St Francis (13-0)
Division 1 – 1 p.m. Sterling Heights Stevenson (13-0) vs. Detroit Catholic Central (13-0)
Division 5 – 4:30 p.m. Clare (13-0) vs. Jackson Lumen Christi (12-1)
Division 3 – 7:30 p.m. East Grand Rapids (13-0) vs. Orchard Lake St Mary’s (8-4)
Fox Sports Detroit coverage of football finals – The 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. games each day of the MHSAA Football Finals will be live on Fox Sports Detroit. The Division 3 Final at 7:30 p.m. Saturday will be live on Fox Sports Plus, and re-aired at 11 p.m. that evening on Fox Sports Detroit. The Division 4 Final at 7:30 p.m. Friday is the only game which will not be televised on cable live. It will air on Fox Sports Detroit that evening at 11 p.m. For the first time, all of the games will have live video streamed at Foxsportsdetroit.com. Two of the halftime features this weekend will focus on schools fielding 8-player football teams this fall. One feature will be on the Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint, which used the eight-player format to field its first team this fall since 1985. The other feature will be on Carsonville-Port Sanilac, a school that kept its gridiron program alive by embracing the reduced-player game.
