As Energy Manager I am proud to announce that our program has saved more than $1,000,000. million dollars in savings is the result of an ongoing district wide effort to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment at the lowest possible utility cost. We have managed every aspect of our operations to save wherever possible. Our efforts range from closely monitoring large complex mechanical systems to turning off computers on a daily basis.
The Board of Education meeting on Monday, November 9 will include a detailed update of our Energy Management Program’s results. There will also be an acknowledgment of reaching the $1,000,000 milestone from our partners at Energy Education Inc. EEI helped us develop our savings program and continues to update my training as Energy Manager. The public is always welcome at Board of Education meetings. The meeting begins at 6:45 pm on the 3rd floor of the Hilltop building.
Cedar Springs Public Schools is continuing to carefully manage our energy costs. With our state’s economic difficulties these savings become even more important. Every dollar saved through our ongoing Energy Management Program is a dollar available for the critical work of educating the children of Cedar Springs.
