New hours for Humane Society

Beginning this week, the Humane Society of Kent County has new hours of operation for the public. The adjustment in hours is to better serve the animals and the public.

They will now be open an extra day each week on Mondays. On Wednesdays they will be open until 4 p.m. They will still offer some hours in the evenings for individuals who are unable to visit during the day.

The new public hours for animal adoptions and animal admitting are listed below. If you need to bring an animal to the Humane Society, stray or owned, please call (616) 453-8900 extension 216 to schedule an appointment. Animal Admitting and owner requested euthanasia is by appointment only. Lost and found and adoption services are on a walk in basis.

If you have any additional questions about the new hours of operation please call (616) 453-8900.
