Jason Lee Shaver
A former Cedar Springs man was arrested this week on first degree criminal sexual conduct charges.
According to Cedar Springs Police chief Roger Parent, Jason Lee Shaver, 26, of Grand Rapids, turned himself into police Monday afternoon, after hearing that a felony warrant had been issued for his arrest. At one time Shaver lived in Cedar Springs at the same residence as his cousin, James Clement Riley, who was arrested in June. The investigation into Riley led to the investigation and arrest of Shaver.
Shaver was arraigned in 63rd District Court, Rockford, on Tuesday, September 29, on six counts of felony criminal sexual conduct first degree (child under 13). His bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety, and preliminary court date was set for October 9 at 11 a.m.
